Description:

Main functions: Responsible to generate and develop new and existing business by analyzing account potential; initiating, developing, and closing sales; recommending new applications and sales strategies.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

  • 1. Main focus will be working with customers that can be classified as a business.
  • 2. Maintain and grow a book of business by
    • a. Follow up on sales leads supplied by management
        1. identify development potential in accounts by studying
        2. current business activity
        3. interviewing key customer personnel and Plastic Express personnel who have worked with this customer
        4. identifying and evaluating additional needs
        5. analyzing opportunities
      • b. Initiate sales process by
        1. building relationships
        2. qualifying potential
        3. scheduling contact and/or appointments
      • c. Develop sales by
        1. making initial presentation
        2. explaining products and service enhancements and additions
        3. introducing new products and services
      • d. Contribute information to sales strategies by
        1. evaluating current product results
        2. identifying needs to be filled
        3. analyzing and relaying customer reactions
      • e. Taking care of business relationships with existing and new clients and create strategies to increase company’s revenue
      • f. Introduce new products and services and expand business opportunities within accounts assigned to Account Executive
      • g. Create and maintain a database of clients and leads
    • 3. Visit potential and/or existing customers if required
    • 4. Actively contribute to team meeting regarding new projects suggesting ideas & brainstorming
    • 5. Checking details of new advertisement added to ensure that every page is 100% accurate
    • 6. Attend industry trade shows if required
    • 7. Occasional training of new sales people
    • 8. Any other special tasks or assignments as directed by your supervisor.

      Performance Measurements:

          1. Sales and profit goals are met or exceeded.
          2. Expenses are controlled and well-managed.
          3. Sales forecasts, plans, and programs are appropriate and effective. Sales objectives are executed in accordance with approved policies.
          4. Current customer accounts are maintained or expanded and additional ones solicited.
          5. Good business relationships exist with customers and their needs are properly anticipated and satisfied.
          6. Management is appropriately informed of Sales activities and significant problems. Useful, current feedback regarding operations and competitive conditions is provided.
          7. Required records and reports are accurate and timely.

      Qualifications:

        • Education/Certification: High School graduate or equivalent. Bachelor degree or work experience preferred
        • Required Knowledge: Familiarity with sales and merchandising standards, policies and procedures, and competitive position
        • Experience Required:  Minimum of three years of sales experience in related marketing field.
        • Skills/Abilities: Strong interpersonal, public relations, and oral presentation skills.  Excellent sales abilities

        Physical Activities and Requirements of This Position:

          • Speaking: Must be able to convey detailed instructions or ideas accurately and quickly in English
          • Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
          • Visual Abilities: Visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents and products, or operate typical office equipment with correction if needed.
          • Physical Strength: Sedentary Work; sitting most of the time.  Exerts up to 20lbs of force occasionally.

          Working Conditions:

            • Temperature controlled office environment with minimal warehouse exposure.
            • May require some local and/or domestic travel

            Mental Activities and Requirements of This Position:

            • Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization  Ability to interpret various instructions
            • Mathematics Ability: Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price ratio, proportion, and percentage.
              Ability to perform basic mathematics
            • Language Ability: 
              •  a. Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias in English.
              •  b. Ability to prepare in English memos, reports, essays using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
              • c. Ability to communicate vocally in English, distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis; correct punctuation (or sign equivalent) and variation in word order using present, perfect, and future tenses
