These are good for the price. They're very sturdy and the paper hold ink well. My only gripe is that the edges are not super clean. The "clean edge" version (5877) tends to jam a couple of our printers because they break apart very easily to get that smooth edge. So we tend to use these to avoid waste.
Regarding templates, Avery.com has a ton of templates for designing right through the site. Once you finish, you can print the PDF that pops up and save it as well. I do use it all the time for creative name badges, labels, etc. since we don't use Photoshop here. I hope that info helps someone!
