When I received a free package of the 4 CT MY FIRST TIC SHARPENER AMERICAN WOOD LOGO* with the pencil sharpener, I got excited. My little one loves to color and scribble with pens, pencils and crayons. These pencils are the thick, chunky, easy to hold for little ones. Learning how to hold the pencil was easier than I thought it would be because of how wide they are. The pencils came with their own sharpener which I appreciated.I had trouble trying to sharpen one in a standard hand held sharpener.The size of the pencil didn't fit well into the store ones. The lead was thicker inside and didn't seem to break as easy as your standard pencil when sharpened. I have an electric pencil sharpener and tried sharpening it in that and it worked really well. Using the eraser was a fun treat but I did notice that it was hard and caused tears in notebook paper. Over all, it's a really good pencil for little ones who are learning to write. I'll be looking to purchase them soon. *Received free for my review from the manufacturer.
My son is in Pre-school and learning to write. He really enjoyed using the larger pencils, they fit in his hand well. Larger eraser is always better. Pencil sharpener is easy use but might take him some time to get used to.
I think the size of these make it easier for kids to hold and learn to write with. They came with a sharpener for them. They wrote well and come 4 in a pack. I would recommend these for anyone with younger children.
I love how these pencils are thicker than regukar ones. It is easier for my daughter to grip one in her small hand. Thankfully there is an included pencil sharpener since they won t fit in a regular sized one. No issues with breaking even though my girl can be rough with them. She loves to draw on paper, clip the papers together and "read the book" she just wrote. It's so cute to see her get creative and expressive.
These pencils are the perfect size for my five year old. The wide body makes it easy for her to hold. Sharpening was easy and the tip didn’t break right away. Also writes great. Would definitely purchase these again.
