I set this up a few weeks ago. Very simple set up. No drop outs of any wireless or wired devices yet. I am still trying to understand how to make devices a priority on the wireless network. But this seems to be a great router.
Purchased this router to upgrade our equipment for streaming. It has met our needs, for streaming Amazon Fire, and installation was a snap. This router replaced an older Linksys router. Moved to a new home and my previous router, an EA2700, was covering my home. The EA8300 now covers my home giving us close to full reception and speed everywhere in our home, very pleased! I renamed the wifi and changed the password to match the previous router, and we didn't need to reconnect any of our devices, that just connected immediately!!
I received this product free from Linksys to try out. When I installed it I tried using the outlet plug and connection cable from the old router I had. It wouldn't install. When I used the cords that came with the new router it connected easily and quickly. It was very simple to install and set up. I'm not a computer geek so the easier the better. The speeds for all my devices: phone, laptop, iPad and kindle are amazing. I can connect to the internet from anywhere in my house and back yard. There are no dead spots. I love it!
