This product takes less space than any of my previous UPS Backups. I love the extra outlets and the spacing of the end outlets allows for AC converters to be plugged in without covering more than one outlet. The attachments for the phone lines are on top where they are easy to get to. The biggest advantage is that is not as heavy as other products I have owned for the same purpose. The price is right too!
I use this for an entertainment system. Due to the number of devices, I need both a surge protector and a battery backup with the space to handle everything. NOTHING else on the market offers that.
Coupled with the Real World Guarantee that Tripp-Lite offers (that other only allude to), this makes this Tripp-Lite not only the best choice, but pretty much the only choice!
This product works extremely well and the problem I had with my computer "freezing-up, etc" no longer exists. I have recommended to my friends and family that they should also invest in this product for worry-free operation. I live in an area which is prone to lightning strikes and now I don't have to worry about lighning damaging my computer.
I don't like writing reviews without ever testing the battery back up running time or the surge protection, or testing the warranty! but it's a good thing I haven't had to test the system yet! I will say this, the unit seems to be well made, all my stuff plugged in with no problem, and the price was right.
I have read on the internet that Tripp Lite Isobar surge protectors were tested as being the best at stopping surges, and even saw someone opened up and explained why it was the best compared to others he had opened, so I'm hoping that same technology they used in the Isobar has been used in this UPC surge protector, but I'm not going to take my Isobar and my UPC apart to see! Anyway I gave it a 5 star rating because of price and features, and because I'm hoping they built it as good as the Isobar.
My last UPC was made by another major company, it worked, but the batteries didn't last long and they weren't cheap, so after the third battery died in 5 years I decided to try another brand and went with Tripp Lite because I have 3 of their Isobar surge protectors. I live in an area with frequent electrical issues, some of it's from lightning and others is from dirty power, and since everything these days use microchips which are not well suited to handle surges I use my Isobars to protect my TV and DVD player, and use another for the refrigerator, and another for the washer and dryer, on less expensive stuff I use cheaper surge protectors or none at all, and on my expensive audio system. I've also taken my surge protection to a different level then most do and I had a whole house surge protector added to the breaker box, but again due to frequent lightning, high winds, ice storms, and maybe dirty power that makes the lights flicker when none of that other stuff is happening (I had an electrician check the home system and he said we were getting dirty power from the pole) I decided I needed as much protection as I could get especially with lightning.
Love the INTERNET750U's compact size without being too small. That mean plenty of room to plug in all of those power bricks without have to resort to adding in an external power strip. The UPS is just the right size to protect and backup your shelf mounted flat screen and cable modem without sticking out.
Tripp Lite's customer support is also legendary. They will help you resolve your problems quickly. When needed they support department will send out a replacement on their dime. But in over 20 years of using multitudes of Tripp Lite products I have only had to return two items that were still under warranty.
I recommend the INTERNET750U, or any other one of their products for use.
