Tripp-lite has a great reputation, the SPD has nicely spaced outlets with dust covers for the outlets not used. Plenty big with a long cord, works great for my entertainment center
This product is used to protect 3 computers, a printer and a external hard drive. It worked properly right out of the box. I like the built in circuit breaker feature that will trip in the case of a circuit overload. I also like the fact that it stops functioning in the event of a power surge thereby avoiding damage to equipment plugged into the protector if the surge protection feature is damaged during the surge.
Needed several outlets with adequate spaces for my home entertainment center and also my computer desk accessories
This surge protector is an excellent one for my needs, with a little more than enough outlets, and a thoughtful design that spaces those out so your plugs (especially for transformers) don''t get crowded. But the issue that sold me was that this surge protector will quit functioning and shut down completely when it has lost its ability to still suppress surges. My former s.p. didn''t do that -- I don''t know if it was still working adequately or not -- how could I -- it''s lights all still glowed. How could I test it -- engineer a big load on it? -- I wouldn''t know how to do that
I picked this as a result of the reviews. My electronics are vital to keep going all the time. Living in a region of severe thunderstorms this appears to be quality insurance. I''ve only been using it about 10 days, so a better review isn''t yet in order. Currently in a thunderstorm, things could change
