I'm really happy with this system. It looks great and it connects much faster than my old router!
I was having problems with Wifi strength with camera's outside my house. It was reading 1.5-3.0 MBPS. I had my original Wifi at the other end of my house, out of necessity. Installed Velop in tandem with my original Wifi/modem set up. Put a node a room away from the cameras. My MBPS are reading 40 + at the cameras now. Keep in mind this review is about signal strength and extreme ease of set up. Works great so far.
I've had my Velop for about a month and can honestly say I love my Velop system. It covers my house from edge to edge with excellent coverage and FULL BANDWIDTH. The setup was fairly painless, just remember to connect to the router when setting it up. Once setup, the app offers a handful of useful tools to control your WiFi. For more advanced users, you can still login to the router by tethering or wirelessly (regardless of Linksys says) connecting to a node. When logged into the router you have access to all of the normal features of a router like port forwarding, various types of filters, forwarding, and parental controls.
Bottom line, if you are looking for full home coverage with 100% bandwidth, I would recommend the Velop WiFi System to enVelop your home.
My setup before Velop was the Verizon Fios Gateway. The signal wasn't great, it would drop out, and was generally unreliable. Using the Linksys website, it was suggested that I get a two node system. I ordered it, took it out of the box and followed the instructions for setting the system up. It couldn't have been any easier. Not only that, the coverage is superior to that with the Fios Gateway. I am not a techy person, so I can't go into detail about other specifics, but what I know is that this was easy to install and it works great. In my opinion, it is certainly worth the cost.
I've had the Velop for a few weeks now and it's the best thing ever. I sell these as much as I can at the Best Buy store I work at. Great investment.
